After a successful one year
management deal with Ill Bliss’s Goretti company/Capital Hill, the
companies have decided to take Chidinma’s music career a step further by
putting pen to paper in a deal that will see the singer become an official
member of Capital Hill Records
“Yea, at the moment, I’m signed to Capital Hills Records. Yes,
maximum of two years, a lot of things will be going down; shows, tours and so
on. A lot of stuffs different from music, my schedule is so tight right now.
After Project Fame, I was working with Ill Bliss, he was my manager taking care
of everything, we never talked about ‘signing’ or anything of that sort. But
after a year and half, we grew to understand each other. We were on the same
page and his partners said we should make it official which brought up the
deal. The signing was not hard.”
The boss man himself, Ill Bliss also had few things to say about
their new recruit
“Yes it is; she penned her contract about two weeks ago. The deal
is structured in this format; Capital Hills and The Goretti company owned by
Ill Bliss are a joint venture, The Goretti company is takes them through that
one year after Project Fame in a contract made possible by MTN. Therefore, it
was just natural that she signed with us. I sat down with her and we looked at
things. She’s actually a brand we enjoy working with. For a while, Capital has
been associated with rappers; myself, Ill Bliss, Suspect, Zee, Kel so I
said we should flip things a bit.”
As regards acts signed under the label, he also had this to say
“Chidinma is currently on an African tour after the release of her self titled
11 track debut album”
